Coffee Review: Redbud Roasters Yirgacheffe Heirloom Dark Roast

Redbud Roasters

This coffee came with the first shipment of my Craft Coffee subscription. Yirgacheffe region is well-known for growing some of the best Ethiopian coffees. Ethiopian coffees are noted for their complex, elegant floral and citrus notes. My favourite way to brew this coffee is with the good old moka pot. The coffee holds up very well to milk with its strong notes of chocolate and a smoky, lingering finish. However, when tasted on its own without milk, the floral aromas and the natural sweetness of this wonderful coffee really shines though.
